These terms cover use of LearnByTyping at learnbytyping.com. By creating an account or paying, you agree to this page. If you do not agree, do not create an account and do not pay.

The product

Packs are practice material: questions, vocabulary, and typing drills. One pack, ITIL Foundation, can be unlocked on a new account without a card. Other packs are sold separately or included while a Monthly or Annual plan is active.

Practice questions are written for LearnByTyping. They are exam-style questions. They are not actual exam questions.

We do not guarantee exam results or pass rates. A practice score is not a promise that you will pass.

You can use a pack you bought for as long as we offer it and your account is in good standing. We may update packs. If we retire a pack, we will give at least 30 days' notice by email and let you finish studying it.

Age

You must be at least 16 years old to use LearnByTyping. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission.

Prices

A single pack is $12 once. Monthly access to the published catalog is $12/mo. Annual access is $99/yr. Lifetime access is no longer sold. An older lifetime grant on an existing account stays until that account changes. Prices are shown again at Stripe Checkout before you pay.

Prices are in US dollars. Where we are required to collect sales tax or VAT, that tax is calculated and shown at checkout. Otherwise you are responsible for any taxes that apply.

Accounts

Accounts use Supabase Auth (Google or an email magic link). You are responsible for the email inbox and Google account you use to sign in. Do not share an account in order to split a paid pack or a subscription.

Subscriptions

Monthly and Annual plans renew automatically each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in the billing portal (Manage billing) or by emailing hello@learnbytyping.com. After you cancel, access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. There is no free trial. The free pack stays free.

Stripe processes pack payments, Monthly, and Annual. Canceling stops catalog access when the paid period ends and Stripe marks the subscription inactive. A one-time pack unlock is separate from that subscription.

Refunds

One-time packs are refundable within 14 days of purchase if you email hello@learnbytyping.com. If you have worked through most of the pack, we may decline. Monthly and Annual subscriptions can be cancelled at any time. We do not give partial-period refunds, except that the first charge is refundable within 14 days of the first payment. Refunds we grant are sent to the original payment method through Stripe.

A full refund of a pack payment removes access to that pack. A chargeback or other dispute that contests the payment also removes that access. A partial refund does not. An early-warning notice, before a dispute is opened, does not remove access. If we lose the dispute, the pack stays removed. If we win the dispute, access to that pack is restored, unless that same charge was fully refunded.

Warranties and liability

The service is provided as is and without warranties. We do not promise that the site will be uninterrupted or free of errors.

If you have a claim against us, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. This limit does not exclude liability that the law does not allow us to exclude or limit.

Acceptable use

Do not attack the site, probe other people's accounts, or copy the question banks to resell them. We may close an account that is used that way. Study progress on a closed account may be deleted with it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will give notice by email or on the site at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using the site after that date, you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, and any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Broward County, Florida.
